A spokesman for the Taliban government, Zabihullah Mujahid, said that a hotel that receives foreign visitors in Kabul was attacked on Monday, killing 3 of the attackers.
He added that two foreign guests were injured after they jumped out of the hotel windows to escape.
According to eyewitnesses, the hotel is owned by Chinese and is located in the “Shahri No” area, and that the attackers entered the hotel and opened fire indiscriminately.

Clips and photos posted on social media showed columns of smoke rising from the building, while local residents reported explosions and clashes.
In turn, Khaled Zadran, a spokesman for the Kabul police, said that the attack took 7 hours, adding that the “cleansing” process is continuing.
No one claimed responsibility for the attack until 13:30 (GMT).
