At least 46 people were killed and more than 700 injured, after an earthquake hit Monday morning, West Java Island in Indonesia.
The Associated Press, quoting government officials, reported that the death toll rose from 14 to 46 in less than one hour.
Officials in Indonesia expect the death toll from the earthquake to rise, including dead and injured, in the coming hours.
Earlier in the day, the island of Java witnessed an earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale, which was felt by residents of the capital, Jakarta, and other regions.
