On Tuesday, an Italian Air Force Eurofighter Typhoon crashed into the sea, west of Sicily.
And Italian media reported that contact was lost with the fighter plane, which was returning to its bases at Trapani Bergi airport in Sicily after a training flight, on Tuesday noon.
It indicated that the fighter fell into the sea, 8 miles southeast of the air base, to immediately begin search and rescue operations in the area.
According to the same source, there is hope for the survival of the pilot of the fighter, which fell for unknown reasons, thanks to the ejection seat supported by it.

It is noteworthy that a Eurofighter Typhoon of the Italian Air Force crashed into the sea off the coast of the Terracina region while it was on a parade sortie in 2017.
