Today, Sunday, the Turkish authorities shut down social networking sites after the bombing of Taksim Square in central Istanbul.
Turkish media reported that “the Turkish authorities have closed social media platforms” YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Earlier in the day, Istanbul witnessed an explosion that killed and injured dozens.
