European Union public affairs ministers agreed on Tuesday that Bosnia and Herzegovina would become an official candidate to join the bloc.
This came during a meeting of EU ministers responsible for public affairs in Brussels.
“Today we have reached another turning point. The EU’s path is open,” said Oliver Varhelyi, Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy.
“We have high expectations and hopes for achieving the 14 major priorities agreed upon in 2019,” he added, via his Twitter account.
