On Thursday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov criticized the European Parliament’s decision to classify Russia as a “state sponsor of terrorism.”
Lavrov said in a statement to the official channel “Rossiya-1”: “Doctors should comment on this decision to check on the health of those who made it, because I am not a doctor.”
Earlier, a spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, suggested recognizing the European Parliament as a “sponsor of folly”, commenting on its decision to recognize Russia as a “state sponsor of terrorism”.
Yesterday, Wednesday, the European Parliament adopted a non-legally binding resolution recognizing Russia as a “state sponsor of terrorism”, due to its ongoing military operation in Ukraine.

On February 24, Russia launched a military attack on Ukraine, followed by international rejection and economic sanctions on Moscow, which requires Kyiv to abandon plans to join military entities to end its operation, which the latter considers an “interference” in its sovereignty.
