Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived, on Wednesday evening, in Riyadh, on a visit that will last for several days and witness 3 summits between China and each of Saudi Arabia, the Gulf states and Arab countries.

And the Saudi Press Agency reported that “at the invitation of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the President of China arrived in Riyadh, on an official visit to the Kingdom.”

The President of China was received at King Khalid International Airport, Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Governor of the Public Investment Fund Yasser Al-Rumayyan, Saudi Ambassador to Beijing Abdul Rahman Al-Harbi, and Chinese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Chen Weiqing. .

Earlier on Wednesday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying confirmed in press statements that Ping will attend the first Chinese-Arab summit, and the China-Gulf Cooperation Council summit in Riyadh.

She added that the Chinese president’s visit will be from December 7 to 10, at the invitation of the Saudi monarch.

And on Tuesday, Saudi Arabia announced that the Chinese president will visit the Kingdom from December 7 to 9, and he will witness 3 Saudi, Arab and Gulf summits.

The Chinese president’s visit comes about 6 years after his previous visit, and about 3 months after similar summits in Riyadh with US President Joe Biden.
