Actor Jason David Frank, who became known worldwide for playing the Green Ranger in the series “Power Rangers”, died at the age of 49 last Saturday (19). The news was confirmed to TMZ this Sunday, the 20th, by Justine Hunt, the artist’s representative.
The cause of death has not yet been officially revealed, but sources close to the case said it was a suicide. Jason died in Texas, in the United States, and left four children. Justine asks that the family’s privacy be respected.
“Please respect the privacy of his family and friends during this horrific time as we come to terms with the loss of such a wonderful human being. He loved his family, friends and fans very much. He will truly love to be missed.”, she wrote.
The news saddened an entire generation of fans, who paid tribute to the idol on social media. Jason played the Green Ranger in the first season of the classic American series of the 1990s. Although the participation was small, the actor became one of the most beloved by fans and ended up integrating the cast of other years, when he played different versions of the hero throughout of years.

Mike Bronzoulis, a close friend of Jason, left a tribute to the actor and MMA fighter, with a professional career between 2008 and 2010. “Rest in peace my brother from another mother, Jason David Frank. I’m still in shock. I’m feeling terrible, he called left me a message and I took too long. Jason was a good friend to me and I will miss him. I send love and prayers to his wife Tammie and their children. I pray that God will help them in this difficult time,” he wrote.
