The Qatari Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy announced, on Friday, that football fans around the world will be allowed to enter the country, without the need to obtain tickets for the Qatar 2022 World Cup matches.
The (governmental) committee stated in a statement, a copy of which was seen by Anadolu Agency, that “as of December 2, a new feature will be applied to the Haya card.”
She added that the Khadiya “allows fans from all over the world to enter the State of Qatar, to enjoy the atmosphere of the World Cup, without the need to obtain match tickets.”
And in light of the new procedure; “The fans will only have to confirm the place of residence, and pay the entrance fee of 500 Qatari riyals (about $170), without the need to purchase tickets for the matches,” according to the statement.

The statement stated, “Children aged 12 years or less are exempted from paying the entry fees, and the fees may not be refunded if match tickets are purchased after the card is issued, as fees are limited to non-ticket holders only when applying for a Haya card.”
Khaled Ali Al-Mawlawi, Deputy Director General of Marketing, Communication and Tournament Experience in the committee, said, according to the statement: “The tournament is wonderful, thanks to God. We have so far received thousands of fans from all over the world to enjoy an unparalleled football festival and get to know each other’s cultures.”
He added, “We are pleased, with the conclusion of the group stage, to provide the opportunity for more fans to visit Qatar and experience the exceptional atmosphere of the first World Cup to be held in the Arab world and the Middle East region.”
The committee indicated that the fans “will obtain an entry permit to the State of Qatar via e-mail, after paying the entry fees and confirming the place of residence.”
The committee recommended that fans “not travel before completing the procedure for obtaining a Haya card, as they will not be allowed to board flights without having an entry permit.”
The Haya card is considered an entry visa to the State of Qatar during the World Cup period, and a prerequisite for entering stadiums in addition to the match ticket. Card holders are also allowed to use public transportation, enter the FIFA Fan Festival for free, and stay in the State of Qatar until next January.
The Qatar World Cup provides fans with many entertainment options that they can enjoy and experience the atmosphere of the tournament through, most notably the FIFA Fan Festival in Al Bidda Park, the events that take place along the Doha Corniche with a length of 6 km, and a variety of live music performances, as well as various cultural experiences. and fan zones scattered across the country.
