Portugal achieved a difficult victory over its counterpart, Ghana, by three goals to two, on Thursday, in the “974” stadium, in the eighth group competitions of the “Qatar 2022” World Cup.
The Portuguese national team dominated the first minutes with multiple attempts that relied on moving the ball with short passes and delivering it to the attack through Bernardo Silva from the depths and Joao Felix from the left.
The first Portuguese threat came in the 10th minute, through star Cristiano Ronaldo alone, who prepared the ball for himself in a way that allowed the Ghanaian goalkeeper to intervene and prevent him from shooting.
Ronaldo returned in the 31st minute with a shot that hit the net this time, but the referee canceled the goal due to a foul on the Portuguese striker, who committed it against defender Alexandre Dijko.

In the second half, “Brazil Europe” continued their search for progress, which was achieved by a penalty kick that Ronaldo successfully executed in the 65th minute, to enter history with a new number, after becoming the first player in history to score in five World Cups.
The response of the “Black Stars” did not take long, as Andre Ayew managed to equalize at the 73rd minute, taking advantage of a mistake from Portugal’s defense to disperse the ball before it reached him and settled it into the net.
The match caught fire after 5 minutes when Joao Felix put Portugal back in front with a goal he scored after a quick attack that ended with a clever shot that the Ghanaian goalkeeper was unable to stop.
The offensive tide of the Portuguese national team resulted in a third goal, scored by Rafael Leao in the 80th minute, after a ball from Bruno Fernandez, followed by the first with one touch into the Ghanaian goal.
Ghana did not raise the flag and tried to remedy the situation for the remainder of the match. Indeed, Osman Buhari was able to reduce the difference with a second goal, which he scored in the penultimate minute of official time.
Despite the referee counting 9 minutes of stoppage time, Ghana was unable to adjust and the match ended with a valuable victory for Portugal, who topped the standings after Uruguay and South Korea tied without goals.
