The British newspaper “Daily Mail” confirmed, today, Wednesday, that an English club has contacted Jokhi Mendes, Portuguese agent Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United striker, about contracting with the latter.
According to the British newspaper, Newcastle expressed a clear desire to include Ronaldo, as his agent was contacted to offer the possibility of his transfer to St. James Park.

The newspaper added that Newcastle is one of the few clubs likely to be able to pay Ronaldo’s £360,000-per-week wages.

The newspaper indicated that Bayern Munich officials also met with Mendez a few days ago, which raises doubts about the possibility of the player moving to the Bavarian club.

Napoli and Marseille had the opportunity to sign Ronaldo in the winter, but they rejected him again, noting that they refused to sign him last summer.

Sporting Lisbon is still keen to restore his legend, but financial resources may prevent him from closing a deal.

Ronaldo recently entered into a strong clash with the Manchester United administration, against the background of his famous meeting, during which he attacked club officials and coach Eric Ten Hag, to approach his departure next January.
