The Russian Ministry of Defense announced, on Wednesday, that its armed forces had completely taken control of the city of Andreiivka, located in the Donetsk region, in southeastern Ukraine.
“As a result of the military actions of the Russian forces, the city of Andreyevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic was completely liberated from units of the Ukrainian forces,” the ministry said in a statement.
Today, the Ministry of Defense also announced the liberation of the Belogorovka and Berchi Travnya regions in the territory of Donetsk, according to Russia Today channel.
On February 24, Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine, which was followed by international rejection and economic sanctions on Moscow, which requires Kyiv to abandon plans to join military entities to end its operation, which the latter considers an “interference” in its sovereignty.

It is noteworthy that on September 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a document annexing the regions of Donetsk, Kherson, Luhansk and Zaporizhia to Russia, amid widespread rejection and condemnation from the West.
