Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on Thursday that his country and the United States “do not plan any high-level contacts” at the present time.
This came during his speech at a press conference in the capital, Moscow, on the eve of the Ninth Review Conference of the Convention on the Prohibition of Biological and Toxic Weapons, according to the local “TASS” agency.
Ryabkov said that his country “has not initiated any specific contacts” with Washington, noting that “there are no plans to conduct such contacts.”
He said that his country “is not planning any high-level contacts at the present time.”

Ryabkov said: “The dialogue with the Americans is taking place through telephone conversations between the concerned senior officials without the involvement of the presidential level.”
“We are conducting a dialogue through the usual diplomatic channels,” he added.
