The Saudi monarch, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, directed that tomorrow, Wednesday, be a holiday for all employees in all sectors of the state and the private sector, as well as male and female students at all educational levels.
This came in a brief statement published by the official Saudi Press Agency, on Tuesday, after the Saudi national team defeated its Argentine counterpart, led by legend Lionel Messi, in the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Saudi national team achieved one of the biggest surprises in the history of the World Cup finals, by defeating Argentina at Lusail Stadium in the first round of Group C matches.
Celebrations spread across many streets in the cities of the Kingdom and on social media, in celebration of the Saudi national team, which defied expectations against the ancient Argentina national team and one of the favorites to win the championship.
