US President Joe Biden’s administration appointed Hadi Amr as Special Representative for Palestinian Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
And the American “Axios” website stated that a senior official at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (unnamed) said that the Biden administration informed Congress on Tuesday that it had appointed Hadi Amr as a special representative for Palestinian affairs.
The official explained that Amr will work from Washington, where his work is focused on “close communication with the Palestinians and their leadership.”
He added that the Special Representative will also work with the US Ambassador to Tel Aviv, Thomas Nedis, and his team, to engage with Israel on issues related to the Palestinians.

The official indicated that Amr will work under the authority of the Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, Barbara Leaf, for whom he has worked for the past two years as deputy.
