Russian presidential spokesman “Kremlin” Dmitry Peskov confirmed that the Turkish military operations in northern Syria are a legitimate right and that Moscow respects and understands Ankara’s security concerns.
Peskov answered journalists’ questions about previous statements by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in which he spoke about the responsibilities of Russia in Syria.
In this regard, he pointed out that there are “some fine details in the approach” between Turkey and Russia regarding the situation in Syria and the Sochi agreement.
The Russian presidential spokesman also called on “all parties to refrain from any destabilizing steps.”

He explained that the nature of the partnership relations between Turkey and Russia allows for an open discussion of these details.
