Russia’s parliament, the Duma, passed Thursday a bill imposing fines against promoters of homosexuality.
And the government agency “Tass” stated that the Russian parliament approved, in its session today, a bill imposing large fines for “propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations, sexual abuse of children, and information promoting sex-change surgeries.”
The agency stated that the financial fines include “dissemination of information, public procedures, and propaganda for changing sex.”
It indicated that fines amount to 100,000 rubles (about 1,650 dollars) for citizens, 200,000 rubles (3,300 dollars) for employees, and 1 million rubles (16,500 dollars) for legal entities.
