On Thursday, the US House of Representatives passed the Defense Spending Act, which funds the Department of Defense and sets national security policies for the 2023 fiscal year, with an estimated budget of $858 billion.
The House passed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), with bipartisan support (350-80), and referred the measure to the Senate for consideration.
It is noteworthy that a joint committee of the US Congress canceled Tuesday, from the defense budget bill for the year 2023, the restrictive conditions set by the House of Representatives for the sale of Turkey, “F-16” fighters.
Turkey is seeking to purchase 40 new F-16 Blok 70 fighters, in addition to modernizing the 80 existing fighters in its possession.
