Joy prevailed, on Thursday evening, in the homes and streets of Morocco, after the national team defeated its Canadian counterpart with two goals to one, and booked the ticket to qualify for the second round in the World Cup in Qatar.
According to the Anatolia correspondent, thousands of Moroccans took to the streets to celebrate as soon as the match ended, especially in the capital Rabat and major cities and near cafes.
The audience interacted with the national team with encouragement and cheers, responding to the course of the meeting, in which Morocco became the leader of Group Six of the tournament.
And after a draw with Croatia in its first match, the Moroccan national team defeated its Belgian counterpart in its second match, in Group F of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

By defeating Canada, Morocco tops the group standings with 7 points, Croatia second with five points and also qualified for the same round, while Belgium finished third with 4 points, and finally Canada without any point.
This is the second qualification of its kind for Morocco after the national team’s experience in 1986 in the World Cup Mexico.
Morocco is participating for the sixth time in the FIFA World Cup, led by national coach Walid Rekragui, with the participation of many stars who play with international teams.
