Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that his country’s forces are slowly advancing to recover the Lugansk region from Russia.
Zelensky said in a video message via Telegram on Sunday that the fiercest clashes between the two sides are currently taking place in the Donetsk region.
He pointed out that Russian air attacks are continuing on his country, and that Ukrainian forces have made progress in the Lugansk region.
He stated that the Ukrainian forces are fighting and advancing slowly in Luhansk, and that the eastern front has witnessed about 400 shelling since the morning.

Since February 24, Russia has launched a military operation in Ukraine, which resulted in angry international reactions and the imposition of “tough” economic and financial sanctions on Moscow.
