Ukrainian presidential advisor Mikhail Podolak announced that between 10,000 and 13,000 Ukrainian military personnel lost their lives in the war with Russia.
Podolak said in a statement to a local TV channel that the Ukrainian Armed Forces “has lost between 10,000 and 13,000 soldiers so far” in the war, according to estimates by the General Staff.
He pointed out that the country’s President Volodymyr Zelensky will publish official data on the death toll “when the time comes.”
On February 24, Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine, which was followed by international rejection and economic sanctions on Moscow, which requires Kyiv to abandon plans to join military entities to end its operation, which the latter considers an “interference” in its sovereignty.
