The United States of America refrained from condemning the terrorist attacks launched by the “PKK/YPG” organization on Turkish territory from the Syrian side.

This came in a statement issued by the US State Department on Monday evening, regarding the “claw – sword” operation carried out by Turkish forces against terrorist elements in northern Iraq and Syria.

And the US State Department said only: “We express our sincere condolences to the civilians who lost their lives in Turkey and Syria.”

In her statement, she added, “We call for de-escalation in Syria to protect civilians and support the common goal of defeating ISIS. We continue to oppose uncoordinated military action in Iraq that violates Iraqi sovereignty.”
