Switzerland completed the qualifiers for the round of 16 of the World Cup Qatar 2022 by defeating its counterpart Serbia by three goals to two, on Friday, at the “974” stadium, in the last round of Group G.

The second half began with a clear desire from the Swiss national team, who regained the lead with a beautiful third goal that came in the 48th minute with Remo Freiler’s feet after a distinguished pass from Ruben Vargas.
And Switzerland remained ahead until the final whistle, which announced its qualification to the next round, along with Brazil, which lost to Cameroon with a goal without a response in another match that took place at the same time, after the “Seleção” achieved two consecutive victories.
The only goal of the Cameroonian national team was scored by striker Vincent Aboubakar in the second minute of stoppage time, taking advantage of a pass from Jerome Mbekle.
Despite the defeat, Brazil finished top of Group G with 6 points, ahead on goal difference over Switzerland, which won the second pass with the same balance, while Cameroon ranked third with 4 points, and finally Serbia with one point.
Brazil will face South Korea in the round of 16, and Switzerland will play Portugal on Monday and Tuesday.
