He added that two foreign guests were injured after they jumped out of the hotel windows to escape.
According to eyewitnesses, the hotel is owned by Chinese and is located in the “Shahri No” area, and that the attackers entered the hotel and opened fire indiscriminately.
Clips and photos posted on social media showed plumes of smoke rising from the building, while local residents reported explosions and clashes.
In turn, Khaled Zadran, a spokesman for the Kabul police, said that the attack took 7 hours.
