The Spanish Football Federation assigned the task of technical supervision of the first team to coach Luis de la Fuente immediately after the dismissal of Luis Enrique.
And the Spanish Federation wrote on its official identifiers: “De la Fuente will be presented on Monday and start his career in March during the 2024 European Cup qualifiers scheduled in Germany.”
De la Fuente was appointed to lead the next stage after being eliminated from the “Qatar 2022” World Cup, losing to Morocco in the round of 16 on penalties (0-3).
De la Fuente, 61, previously coached the Spain under-21 national team, and was a player in the ranks of Seville, Athletic Bilbao and Deportivo Alaves.
